Other cancer charities you may have heard of just "raise awareness" of such and such - (which is great too dont get me wrong but personally we believe its time to stop raising awareness that cancer's an evil bastard - we all know that but its time to - pardon the french - find an EFFING cure!)

FOTB funds REAL research through cancer labs in various Sydney hospitals, including Macquarie University Hospital which i attend personally to take my Dad to radiation and chemotherapy for his Stage 4 brain cancer, the same hospital that has been so amazing with my strokes and artery dissections. We will print the alternate colour for the rest of the wording according to what colour hoodie you ordered so it shows up. Fight on the Beaches is a Northern Beaches based fundraising group dedicated to finding a cure for cancer through funding Australia cancer researchers in the lab. The Fight on the Beaches Executive Committee consists of 7 local women who have all lost at least one loved one to cancer, and who are committed to providing an avenue for local businesses and the community to support cancer research through their support and attendance at our annual ‘Christmas in July’ Charity Ball.

The ‘Christmas in July’ Charity Ball was first held in 2014, with a goal of $50000. A total of $100 000 was raised in that first year, and since then the fundraising has gone from strength to strength with a total of $1.165 million raised in just 4 years. In 2018 we will celebrate 5 years of commitment to funding a cure, and thank the Northern Beaches and Sydney wide community for their support.

Fight on the Beaches fundraises for Fight for a Cure Ltd, whose principal goal is to raise money to fund cancer research, and to fund local community based early detection and prevention programs.
